Twin-less twin behavior problem. Help?

Question: This girl I have been seeing for a while has a son who is one and a half years old. She had twins but one died of SIDS (Sudden infant death syndrome) The remaining twin is SO BAD. He will not listen, he bites, kicks, screams, ran from his mom after getting out of the tub yesterday, fell and cut his face. She told me that the doctor says its called twin-less twin behavior? Has anybody ever heard of this? She says he is using up his twins energy, and doing everything twice as bad to make up for his twin not being around. What do you think?

Answer: Twin-less twin is support group name for older people who have lost a twin and are suffering. There are a lot of twins who have a "6th sense" when it comes each other, so the group is soley for twins. As for what you're friend is saying...no doctor would say that because that comment runs more along the lines of a mythical belief. It's a cover up for her son's behavior or her own personal lost. I can't imagine what it would be like to lose a child and no one ever should...but you should still step up to the plate and get the parenting ball rolling for the child that is there.
