How to

Question: My kid is gifting her teacher a gift card and has made a 5x7 inch card out of construction paper. The gift card is in its own envelop which is about 3x5 inches. Looking for suggestions on how to wrap/present it? - put the card she made and the gift card in a bigger envelop - put the gift card in a small box, and then in a gift bag with tissue? How do people generally give gift cards? IN the envelop they come in or in a special box or in a gift bag? Any ideas, most appreciated.

Answer: Both your ideas I've used. I've put them in cards, in gift bags. You could also use photo corners and place the gift card actually on the card. You could get a little stuffed bear at the $1 store and have it hold the gift card. You can get mini-poinsettia plants for cheap this time of year and use a floral card pick with the gift card in it in it's envelope. They have Chinese style take out boxes in different sizes and colors that are a cute change than a gift bag. I'd try to keep it in it's envelope if possible and write To: From: on the outside just in case it gets separated from the construction card - her teacher will still know who it is from.
