Question: Just moved into a house and previous owneres took the shower. We have a combi boiler and the pipes are 60mm apart (side by side). I assume I need a thermostatic shower but can't find one which fits this pipe centre distance. Help!! It might have been some kind of power shower but there is no obvious wiring for this
Answer: There is no shower with connections 60mm apart that I know of, I suggest you look at putting elbows on the existing pipework to allow you to achieve pipe centres of anything between 110mm up to 155mm which is the usual for thermostatic showers. This can be done with chrome pipework and compression fittings to make it look tidy. The shower must be compatible with all plumbing systems to operate with a combi boiler.
